My son and myself made a fantastic mobile safari with Vinnie from Mzilikazi Way Safaris. We started from Maun, slept 2 nights in Moremi GR and 2 nights in Khwai community. Both places were wonderful, very well chosen. First location in Moremi was a HATAB camp place, second Mbudi campsite in Khwai. Vinnie could show us cheetah, lions, leopards, wild dogs and so on. Amazing how they can read tracks. The team was great, always smiling, great chef. We learned a lot about real life in Botswana, incredible people, very social and proud of their country. Camping material was in great condition, comfy beds and all you need for a superb experience. Thank you Vinnie and team, you made our trip a huge success!

My wife, 13-year-old son and I went on a 12-day mobile safari in the northern part of Botswana in July 2024. The safari was organized by the agency Mzilikazi Way Safari.

We traveled in a Toyota Land Cruiser, specially adapted for safari drives. Every day upon arrival at our destination, we were welcomed by an already set-up camp. This was the responsibility of the support team, who traveled ahead of us in their own vehicle. We slept in a comfortable tent with excellent beds and an attached bathroom, and enjoyed delicious, freshly prepared food by our chef.

From Maun, which was our starting point, we first visited the Tsodilo Hills near the Namibian border and viewed the millennia-old rock paintings of the Sun people. Members of the Sun from a nearby village visited us and presented some of their traditional crafts.

We then drove to the Makgadikgadi salt pans of the former lakes Nxai and Nwetwe. We slept under the open, clear southern starry sky. Besides visiting the colonies of meerkats, we went on a short hike with members of the Sun people, who demonstrated some survival skills in the Kalahari (such as fire-making).

This was followed by a true safari, visiting a chain of parks in northern Botswana, from the Okavango Delta near Maun, through Moremi, Khwai, and Savuti, to Chobe on the border with Zimbabwe. We encountered almost all the significant animals of this region, like elephants and giraffes, antelopes and zebras, African buffaloes, hippos, African wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, lions, a leopard, warthogs, honey badger, crocodiles, and of course, a multitude of different birds. It was magical. At night, lions roared around our camps, and hyenas called with their characteristic sounds.

The entire trip was guided (and driven) by the agency's owner, Vincent Okaile Mguni - Vinnie. The safari was excellently organized, everything worked flawlessly. Vinnie's extensive knowledge of nature and animals was astounding. He was reliable and friendly, an excellent companion on our almost two-week journey. As he was eager to share his knowledge with us, we learned a lot on this trip. Together with the support team (Daniel, who was responsible for setting up and taking down the camp, and Brighton, who was our incredible chef), we formed an excellent team.

In short, the safari with Mzilikazi Way Safari was unforgettable, and I can hardly imagine anyone organizing a better one.

In July 2024, we went on an amazing safari experience in Botswana with Mzilikazi Way Safari. We spent 12 days, mostly in the wild, from Tsodilo Hills to the Makgadikgadi Pans and then through the Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai, Savuti and Chobe National Parks.

Mzilikazi Way Safaris owner, Vincent (or Vinnie) was our guide all this time. His team, with Brighton as the chef and Daniel as the camp master, was just perfect.

We have seen most of the wildlife in this part of the world, like elephants, giraffes, antelopes, buffalos, hippos, wildebeests, wharthogs or ostriches. We had the incredible chance to also see african wild dogs, lions and even a leopard in the wild, thanks to Vinnie's incredible skills at tracking animals.

I only can warmly recommend Mzilikazi Way Safaris if you are considering a trip to Botswana!

We had an exceptional experience with Mzilikazi Way Safari's. The tents were super cozy with nice beds, and it was pretty cold at night. The team took really good care of us. I am a super experienced camper, hiker, backpacker and have lived and worked in the bush. We had an amazing time even though it was a very short trip. We really wanted to be on our own and did not want to be around other vehicles. The guide went out of his way to avoid others while also making sure we had a great time. We saw lions with no other vehicles around, sable, tons of elephants, hippos and stopped for countless birds and flowers. It was super peaceful and cozy. The food was also exceptional. The chef was amazing and very accommodating. I am an incredibly picky eater and they made sure I was more than happy and were careful of my allergies. Although I would tell them exactly what you can't eat and check ingrediants. The camp was also run perfectly from hot water in our basins before we woke up to warm water for showers in the evening if we wanted them. We even had some technical difficulties, but the team handled them quickly and with grace. They were an incredibly capable and fun team and I want to do a much longer trip soon. I could say a lot more but this seems long.

Organized by Mzilikazi, our group of 10 people had a wonderful safari trip through Chobe and Moremi Parks and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pan. Both the organization and execution were excellent—from our initial contact all the way through the end of the trip.
The staff was very diligent, professional, and always available. Not to mention the food—truly delicious meals prepared right in the bush.
The safari guides went above and beyond to ensure we received as much interesting information as possible about nature itself, as well as the people and their customs. I definitely recommend choosing Mzilikazi for your next safari adventure.

Having dinner while listening to lions roaring not quite far enough, falling asleep to the sound of howling hyenas, and waking up minutes before a storm nearly blew our tents away are just some of the moments I’ll never forget.

We traveled as a group of 10, and the entire 8-day safari felt like a real-life treasure hunt. By day, we were guided by incredibly skilled trackers, and by night, our campsites felt genuinely cozy — complete with delicious food, warm showers, and amazing company under the stars.

The team went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. Whether it was setting up breakfast just before the rain hit, stopping countless times so we could capture the perfect bird photo, or driving an extra hour in search of a leopard, their passion and dedication showed in every detail.

Vinnie, Shabba, BeeMan, and the whole camp team are some of the warmest people you could meet — always smiling and happy to share stories about the animals, conservation efforts, and the history of the region.

I would recommend Mzilikazi Way Safari to anyone looking for an authentic, adventurous, and genuinely fun safari experience.

Tanki!
